The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) is a non-profit international membership organization whose vision is a thriving and sustainable cocoa sector, where farmers prosper, communities are empowered, and the planet is healthy. WCF’s members include cocoa and chocolate manufacturers, processors, supply chain managers, and other companies worldwide, representing more than 80 percent of the global cocoa market. WCF’s activities benefit farmers and their communities in cocoa-growing regions of Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Americas.

For the sweet moments in life: For decades AUGUST STORCK KG successfully produces quality sugar confectionery and chocolate specialties. Starting as a candy manufacturer in 1903, the company is still a owner-managed family business and is among the largest confectionery manufacturers worldwide. More than 100 countries around the world are supplied with the unique brands and products.

Valrhona is a French premium chocolate manufacturer based in the small town of Tain-l’Hermitage in Hermitage, a wine-growing district near Lyon. It is now a subsidiary of Savencia Fromage & Dairy The company was founded in 1922 by a French pastry chef, Albéric Guironnet, from the Rhône valley and has five subsidiaries and 60 local distributors across the globe. It is one of the leading producers of gastronomic chocolate in the world. The company also maintains the École du Grand Chocolat, a school for professional chefs with a focus on chocolate-based dishes and pastries. In 2015 Valrhona opened the École Valrhona Brooklyn, a pastry school in Brooklyn; there are also two Écoles Valrhona in France and one in Japan.

FEDCO has been in partnership with Walter Matter SA since 2012. This has led to the formation of a sustainability program dubbed Walter Matter FEDCO Cocoa Sustainability Program (WAFCOS).
The aim of the WAFCOS program was to develop farmer groups linked to FEDCO who will produce certified beans for Walter Matter clients in Europe.
